Geez, you guys don't know how to manage your time very well.  I use a touch pad instead of a mouse and I never have used premoves.  I am way faster than any of you guys.

At 32 after White moves - my oponents lag goes from very good to pathetic... and the premoves start in.

In a game that I should easily have won - I lost on time... and this situation is being repeated over and over.

script kiddies forcing lag and kicking in with time wins should be detected and banned, because this is rubbish.

either that - or get with it chess.com and give the players the option of opting out of this crap

So it seems that this explains what I've been experiencing lately. I don't ever recall an instance when I myself have availed of this premove feature in any site, nor did I even get interested learning how to use it. Thus, without inviting an argument, I too think that this is not good for the game.

Blitz games are exciting but I'm now considering giving them up at least for the moment, citing the above reason

On second thought, If everybody is doing it and is legal, perhaps I might try it some time. Anyway, how can we be sure that switching to long games will not open a new door for cheating like consulting a silicon brain for instance, but really I hope that premove feature isn't available

Premove, in chess, refers to the act of making a move before it is your turn to move. This option is available on chess websites such as theInternet Chess Club and FICS. To use premove, you simply make a move in the same way you would move if it was your turn. After your opponent makes his move, your move will be made in 0.1 seconds, assuming that the move is legal. Premove is not available in OTB (Over the board) chess.

Like I just have to move a piece with my mouse without configuring or activating anything on the menu?

I tried moving a piece sir before it was my turn to move, but when I released it, it kept falling back into its original position

OTB, in < 5 min games, you are allowed to move your pieces as soon as your opponent sets theirs down, before they press the clock, so that's kinda simular.. :P

pre-move really gets the adrenaline going at the end of the game.
