Hmm, I’m experiencing none of these issues and I’m fully updated as well, perhaps it’s my Diamond membership?
Oddly enough... they've mysteriously cleared things up somewhat. The lag is still spiky depending on ones geographic region and whether it's advert prime time. 
There’s bound to be lags depending on how far you are from the server, they can’t possibly cater to everyone unless they got the budget to do so. I do have lags too but I’ve learnt to live with those
No offence prazium, but this is a magnitude of difference we're discussing here. It is NOT normal lag, something which I, over the course of some 100,000 games, am familiar with. So, take me at my word that when I say what is going on here is NOT normal? It's NOT normal, and the site owners and caretakers know this FULL WELL.

V2 members had consistency when it came to games. The ads were neither a distraction nor a penalty when it came to bullet/blitz games.
In v3, there is wild variation among players as the "ad" stream is no longer in chess.com's control. Each player gets a different stream.
