Live chess against friend?

How do you challenge a friend who you have added to live chess not online chess?

I can play online chess against a friend i have added but I can't challenge him to live chess game, how do I do it?

Any advice will be much appreciated, Cheers.

You both go into live chess and from there there is a friend option in the box at the bottom right. You click on this, after which if he's on live chess, you have the option to send him a private challenge.

Myself and a friend are both members of chess.com and friends on chess.com. HOWEVER, when he is on live chess and I am on live chess, I don't see his name and I can't invite him to a live game.
