Live chess does not load at all - Chess Forums

Hi,

Quite often when I load live chess in my browser for example on the url http://live.chess.com/simple?v=235 the live chess does not load at all. The chess board is displayed with "Loading.." and after that nothing happens. I see that no one has complained about this in the forum. Can I ask if this is something that is happening just to me?

I use Google chrome 5+ and Firefox latest version and both have the same problem

Did you try the Internet Explorer? It's the standard.

No it's not. And chess.com doesn't reccomend it.

That's interesting because the Internet Explorer comes with Windows.

can you show a screenshot? can you load firebug in firefox and send a screenshot from net console?

Did you try the Internet Explorer? It's the standard.

You might try Opera.

hrmmm... and you have no plugins or other odd things that might be preventing? ad blockers? firewalls? i have NEVER heard of this before...

Any one knows what I should do please? I have started IE, FF, chrome with no addons and I still get this issue

Please can someone help? FF 3.6, Chrome 5+, IE 8 all have the same issues with or without addon. My friends are able to load the page easily but I get the javascript error mentioned.

It's probably your ISP - they sometimes do JavaScript compression or other things that cause problems. You should enable those things via your ISP and also make sure you don't have any browser or computer addons impacting your JavaScript. I hate to say it, but it's a problem somewhere on your end, not ours, and its impossible to diagnose the problem without access to your computer (which isn't a service we provide). Best of luck!

Happens to me on occasion too. I stopped using live chess because it is sooooo buggy. Once mad two moves for me in a row when I was away from the keyboard. ????
