Live chess problem!!!

Hello all,

I was playing against someone in the live chess, the screen for me showed they had timed out, then it froze and was showing connection interrupted. When it reconnected it showed that I lost on time! Is this glitch happening because I am not premium? I'm very confused!

Happened to me too, pretty sure this happens when they make a move while your connection is lagging, meaning that your computer thinks that they lost on time but then their move enters on your computer once the lag is over and the amount of time your computer was lagging is the amount of time you lose.

So down with terrible connections!

I was making the final move to checmate my oponent and the move would not enter.  Then the game disapeared form the online games and does not appear in the archive.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents... I usually have zero issues, but today I have had constant "Connection Interrupted" on almost every game. My connection is stable on everything else I have tried except for chess.com, and seems to be only while in Live Chess. I also had the "Live Chess Unavailable" happen, but then relogged and it worked (until it was interrupted). Seems like something is going on with the server.

If you ping live.chess.com that will give you information about your connection to the server.  A good rule of thumb is to have your ping below 100ms.  Anything below 70 or 80 ms is good to very good.  Also, a ping test will let you know if your connection is experiencing any packet loss -- which leads to moves not registering.
