chrome issues? (try disabling chrome's internal flash, maybe it is battling against adobe flash)

The bar shows low lag, if that's what you mean. The word "issue" has multiple meanings in english. Actually, it doesn't work on regular firefox either.
Well, I use firefox and have never installed "java" (or chrome). Though, I do ensure my adobe flash is reasonably up to date (right click the game area's page to see which version of flash you actually have, sometimes a flash update will not have loaded properly).
But I do know that some on other sites found that chrome's internal flash would conflict with adobe flash, and sometimes when they disabled the internal flash (through chrome's settings), their irregular problems playing on a flash game site disappeared.

hmm, you're right (i'd thought that would show your current flash version as that works on other sites, but it does not do that here).
You can visit your 'control panel' / add/remove programs, and see what your version of flash is there by using the 'click here for support information' (my flash version is: 11.6.602.180).

Nor Flash neither Jave are required for Live Chess.
I could think of browser add-ons interfering with scripting, or a misconfigured firewall.
You coould also try the '/ping' command in Live Chess repeatedly, perhaps your connection suffers from occasional spikes.
I can use live chess on a library computer, so there's something wrong with my computer's configuration.
What duck_and_cover said is correct.
Also, even though the following link is mainly referring to disconnect problems, you can use the suggestions found there and see if they help solve your issue.
Also, what type of internet connection are you using?
I'm running google chrome on a regular desktop computer and live chess just freezes or displays "loading". Java is enabled and I've cleared cookies and cache several times. Can I get some advice here ?
