Live Tournaments ???

I have register to a live torunament (blitz < 1200)

but, the tournament starts as open

this is not ok, i must play vs. players rating > 1500

tell me please, why is this possible?
and how can i leave this tournament without loosing my game?

That is only the case when there is not enough players in your current tournament. It seems there were less than 4 players in your case. You can play your game and then withdraw from the tournament without problems if you don't want to play.

i think, when a tournament change from rated to open, all players must inform before the tournament starts !!!

Gunter: that is really a rare case and you can always play your 1st game (which should be a good experience) and then leave the tournament if you don't want to continue.

Currently, we cannot delay tournament start after players are moved automatically to avoid rated tournament cancel.

I think Gunter has a valid point. Also, you should try to fix stuff that makes members unhappy, not just telling them that this is how it is, period. If you wrote the code in a way that makes it impossible to warn them just as the tournament start, then maybe you should consider giving them a warning of a possible tournament transfer 1 minute ahead? Not perfect, but at least better.

yes, a warning 1 minute before tournament starts "this tournamnet start as open" or so.

Or what about a check box in settings where you can choose whether you prefer to be transfered to a higher class or removed.

The problem with warning BEFORE tournaments start is we don't know how many players will be playing another game at the moment tournaments start. Those players must be removed from tournament at the start if they can't play multiple games. Also, some members may join or leave just a second before tournaments start. That's why we just don't know and we don't have a good way to warn you before the start.

I think I'm not telling it is like it is and period :). We just don't have a good solution. But as I said, it shouldn't be a problem for you, as most of our tournaments start normally now. Also, you are not punished for leaving a tournament between games (after the 1st game in this case).

oh no, then i think is better, the tournament is cancel when not enough players.

i have a suggestion, the open tournament starts 5 minutes later as the rated tournament. so i have the choice to play in open tournament, when the rated tournament is cancel.
