Hi,

I am getting this message too undeservedly!  I have never aborted or stopped playing a game, though in the history of my play it has happened to me in nearly half the games I've been in.

I had to go and resigned a game to my opponent, the server registered it as an aborted game and I started getting that message.

Unfair!  When it has happened hundreds of times TO me and I have never done it TO anyone else.

Chess.com:  ONLY count actual aborts and COUNT them.

PS.

Currently I'm playing someone who has just stopped moving. I really hate it when people just stop when they are a bit down on points, and I have to wait the whole time.

Chess.com should just default the game to the other player after 5 minutes thinking on a move!

Just to clarify: Chess.com:

DON'T count an early resignation as unfair play.

DO count someone who just stops moving.

DO count someone who aborts games.

I am being counted as a bad guy and I have never aborted a game or stopped playing during a game. You are getting the wrong people!

I was a bit surprised cos I had to give it a thought of resigning a game or not. I think I took me a minut or so. Then I resigned. Result was the message that I should not deliberatly disconect!!!!?????

IS IT NOT ALLOWED TO THINK AND/OR RESIGNE ANYMORE?

Sounds good.  Thanks for sharing.

Why did you even bother posting.... Just to be rude and sarcastic? You are making this community worse. I had a question, if you don't want to answer it that's fine, don't post.

Because it's a fake account, check join date and activity, the same day Jimbo_Wales and Young_Anakin accounts were closed.

Now everybody who joins the same day chess.com accounts were closed are fake profiles?

With that sort of flawed logic, you must have been one of those mindless Obama voters.

Well, we know for sure that you are a troll. I believe it is against the ToS to discuss politics or religion on these forums. Spouting that kind of vitriol is bound to get you called out, and hopefully banned.

Vitriol? Simply repeating a known fact about Obama supporters is not vitriol, it's speaking the truth.

Obama supporters are not politicians, nor was I discussing politics. In fact the vast majority of Obama supporters are freeloaders on the dole, and I don't mean Bob Dole. Another annoying fact is that about 75% of them are driving high end SUV's courtesy of the US taxpayer. Don't believe me? Go down to your local welfare office and see how many Escalades, Lexus, Mercedes, Rovers, Expeditions and Explorers and other very fancy very nice recent vintage cars driven by welfare recipients are in the parking lot.

That's not discussing politics. That's discussing a crime. Although some might argue that most politicians ARE criminals, but I digress.

You are right though about religious discussions. Certain religious discussions are allowed by the mods. But some are not. I think it depends on which religion is being talked about. Selective enforcement? Maybe it depends on the religious bent of the mods who happen to be watching that day.

Similarly to my observation about Obama, making such an observation/stating facts of what I have seen is not a religious discussion and not a violation of TOS as I understand the rules.

So...a known fact about Obama supporters is that they are people who think that closed chess accounts are from people with faked profiles?

Thats a prety narrow voting block. Romney should have run on the "people who use vacations are cheaters" platofrm, it seems that gets a lot more support.
