Stop whining, maybe? Server restart is simply a server restart and you can`t do anything about that. And a membership, that you don`t have anyway, does not change these facts. So....

The servers go down for maintenance. I think that they give you 30 minutes warning when this happens and they often go up again fairly quickly. I don't see why this should be a huge issue.
How can you complain as your not paying now. Missed the point. This by far is the greatest place to play not pay. Try them out for a couple months ..... you will be back like a soldier on tour.
Every site is going to have a plus and negative. But Chess.com goes down for a reason. Not sure of the reason all the time but it is to improve the quality of playing here. Can you say that about the other sites.
I have so many activities on this site and not all of them are about chess which i thought was stupid at first but it adds to what makes Chess.com different.
As far as paying. Well there is way around it, ask for somebody else to pay. B-day and etc. Problem solved.

I could only imagine if he was here when it went for a while twice in a weekend a couple summers ago.
I had power problems in my neighborhood a couple times since i been on chess.com that came out of left field. Add in i had no idea when i would power back to my computer. ? Should i not pay the electric company because my service was interrupted and might cause me to lose some games.
I ain't paying.
