The fact is that move confirmation is available on mobile, so the posters that say that this feature is "cheating", well then half of the users are cheating and this would only balance things out. Also, in OTB chess there is no way that your mousepad can slip and get a position that you did not intend.
You are right, and that is why move confirmation needs to be removed from all live chess. Half the people are cheating. It sucks. It makes a blunder much less likely from my opponents. They can take it back. I can't.
Mouse slips are part of the game unfortunately. Letting everyone cheat is no way to fix that.
