My PC freezes after 3 moves - Why?

Evey time I play a live game, the board freezes after 3 moves. I can type messages to my opponent but cannot move a piece.

I have a pentium 4 (3.4GHz) with 1014Mb RAM running Windows VISTA ultimate 32bit and Chrome. It used to work, but not now.

I can play normally using same account name on other PC's. The fault is with my software, but where? I have tried uninstalling JAVA, but the programme still works (or at least still locks up after 3 moves)

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems on the site. If possible, before playing again, can you click on the link below for me please? You'll see a large white page with the text in the corner saying 'Chess.com cookies cleared'. Once you see that, close the browser then re-open it and log back in

Are you using any add-ons on chrome?

Can you tell me which version it is you're using please?

Do you have the same issue using other browsers?

I deleted chrome, installed Internet explorer 8, and now CHESS works fine.
