I just played a game and won and the computer said I had 'no mistakes, blunders or missed wins.' Crinkey, I must be improving. None! Wow. Still only 745 though in 20 minute games. I was at 823 but fell back to a hair's breath beneath 700. I've climbed the greasy pole many times now only to slide back down again.
I purchased Aron Nimzowitsch's book, 'My System'. I'd suggest it although I barely dipped my toe into it. At the beginning he advises 'in the opening one or two pawn moves, not more.' I've adapted that strategy.
