Piece would not capture. Just froze.

Hi all. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this. I was busy playing a live game against the computer. I tried to capture a piece but my piece remained "stuck" on the board. I was forced to move another piece. My king was not in check and the move I was attempting was a legal one. Immediately after making my "alternative" move the computer moved its piece and as it did this the piece I had tried to move just popped back into the position it had been before! Bizarre behaviour!!

If you post the game, we can let you know what was wrong with your move. Sounds like a pin.

Hi I've analysed the game and sent a screenshot to chess.com customer support. It was a completely legal move I was attempting with no checks or pins or restrictions on either of the pieces. You won't see anything in the game because the computer just refused to allow the move and then on the move just went and returned the piece to its original position. I literally saw the piece pop back all by itself!!
