I am sad to say most people don't resign to games. I don't know why, but I think they prefer to timeout then admit they lost.

There's a reported problem 'help-cant-resign' from a mobile phone (although that's actually in Turn-Based, now that I come to think about it!)

Sometimes people hit the Draw button by mistake, so I helpfully reply: "Did you mean the button just to the right of that?" (i.e. Resign)
I have the same problem ; no matter how many times I hit that button, it does not work 90% of the time.
Just reload the page, then hit the resign button again
