Server maintenance

I was playing a 15|10 live game using the mobile software (iPad, excellent signal strength to home wireless network) and about 19 moves in, I don't know what happened, but I got a message about 'server maintenance', was logged out and then when I logged back in the match had been abandoned at my expense. Very frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Sometimes, but usually there's ample warning ahead before the site goes down.

That's what I thought - there is usually a warning. That said, there were 11000 people still logged onto the site as I logged back in, so I suspect there was no maintenance. Maybe it's something the app says if the signal drops?
