Simplified mode

Chess.com is probably the best page on earth, but it lacks of a simplified mode for live chess, there are so many things going on, best ranked match, tournaments, chat, available challenges, sounds, etc, and probably those things make live chess robust and slow.

I'm probably wrong, but it would be great a simplified mode, my computer got 3g of ram, win 7, is relative ok, i use chrome, and i dont download anything while im on live chess, I also use Safe Mode and I always kill explorer process, cause its the only way I found to play live chess.

The only way i found to run this page at it best was with win xp, but win 7 dont let me go back.

Each move feels like every piece weights 10 kg. they move so slow :(

Thanks Chess.com you are the best!

Sorry to hear that! We are working on making it simpler, but of course people want more features too! Make sure you are using SIMPLE mode too. And don't run other plugins in your browser.

Anyway, thanks for the input - I agree, we need it simpler!

Thanks for your answer!

I downloaded Chrome only for chess.com, it goes really well with Live Chess!

I understand that Windows since Vista became a very unstable and poor OP too, but well... but that's another subject for another forum.

Maybe something in my blog will help. Offhand I'm wondering why you need to be in safe mode which is not for routine usage it's used for trouble-shooting software and/or hardware problems. AND it stops a lot of programs and software from being accessed so why are you using it? If you can't access this site properly without using safe mode there are problems at your end that need fixing. Have you tried using FireFox instead?

BTW Windows 7 is better not worse than Vista. I'm using Windows XP SP3 with Chrome and Firefox with no (well, very few) problems here or elsewhere - and I never use Safe Mode unless I'm trying to fix something I can't fix in a normal boot up.
