Sorry if there were any spelling mistakes I typed this on my phone
So Close!!!
I see from your game that you meant to say "I was ONE move away from being checkmate(d).
It's nice that you feel badly for your opponent but this stuff will happen to you too. It's really just part of the game here.
what! give back ranking points ,are you insane ?... have you never heard the expression: never look a gift horse in the mouth? well done on sticking in there to claim a deserved victory and no more of this giving back points nonsense, mama mia!.
I personally think its unfair if you win for bad reasons
You can choose to be a good or bad person
I bet you go to disneyland on your vacation.
My reasoning: Have a button that the winners can use to "Give" the ranking back to the other player. Off course this wouldn't work all the time, but it would definitely help.
Two buttons, respectively called "offer draw" and "resign", cover most of those possibilities.
If you think your win here was just fair use of the clock, just keep the points. If you think playing on the game was insulting when you were clearly losing, just resign. If you feel bad about winning on time in such positions, you can resign or offer the draw.
How did you know that was the game?
You only had four games. Three losses and one win. It wasn't too tough to figure out which one you were talking about.

But I mean after the game has finished.
I was playing a 10min Blitz game and I was ONE move checkmate. The opponent had TEN seconds to make his move. I was praying Plzz let me win (since I had lost the three previous games I played) and guess what, I actually won!!!
The reason I made this post was this website sometimes has glitches that can ruin your game.
Most likely, this person lost because the chessboard wouldn't respond.
