Software glitch

Hi All,  I just played azm-19, but the weirdest thing happened.  I should have aborted the game, I guess, at the start. I saw an extra black pawn on b7 for most of the game. And I couldn't see my (black) pawn on g7 for the entire game.  In fact, I couldn't see anything on g7 for the whole game. My opponent wound up winning by promoting an invisible pawn from that square.  Has anyone else experienced this?

No, not here.  I've never seen that before.

Too bad you didn't get a screen shot / screen capture.

EagleOnHigh,

When this happened, what operating system, browser and browser version were you using?

Hi Kansha,

Windows 7, Google Chrome Version 28.0.1500.95 m are what I was (and am) using.  Chess.com support suggested I clear my browser cache.  Without doing this, the problem has not reappeared.  I often have other glitches, as well, come to think of it, but they usually involve sound -- is that one common, I wonder?  Sound comes and goes.  (Often captures make a sound but nothing else does, etc.

Yes, not clearing your cookies and cache for a while can cause issues like these to come up. As for sound in Google Chrome, a page refresh should fix the problem.
