You had two games going simultanously, the first was likely obscured by the window for the second.
There is a setting you can change to prevent multiple games from starting.

I do not have 2 games going on at the same time. I was playing with Edgarov, when the system replaced it with erdiansyah. So, I just lost my 8 points for nothing ??
Could the staff of Chess.com., do something about it ???
Go to Live Chess (where you can see the open seeks on the graph). Click "Settings" from the menuat the top. When the Settings box opens up, you will see a tab called "Play". There's a checkbox called "multiplay" - you want to make sure that is cleared. I think this is the thing you're after.

Thanks. But I could only see my Alerts and E-mail settings, plus the color of the chess pieces and the board. NO 'multiplay' checkbox.
It's in Live Chess -- at the top right there is a link to "Settings". It will open a dialogue window which has some tabs. The second tab from the left is "Play". You will find it there.

For some reason (bug?) this is only available with the full board, not with the simple board. This might be the reason why fhwee can't find it.

Many thanks for trying to help. I just could not see or find the second tab. Its not on display on my screen.

My match with Edgarov was not aborted by server as there was no indication of such by server on my screen. They should have let me know of such action. I was starting to reply on the 6th move when the screen changed to that of erdiansyah versus me. I was unaware that my game with Edgarov was still on-going. If I know of such I would not have accepted erdiansyah's challenge to play. Thanks for the feedback
This incident happened a few minutes ago at Live chess. I played and had just lost a game of 15/1 minute with erdiansyah. I requested for a rematch but the match was aborted by server.
Then Edgarov came in to play. On the 6th move, at the bottom of the screen was a challenge from erdiansyah, and I accepted. The game with Edgarov suddenly disappeared from the screen, and my game with erdiansyah began. I lost this 2nd game to erdiansyah.
When I checked the main menu, I was surprised that the record showed that I had lost on time to Edgarov, on the 6th move.I recalled that I had lots of time left.
Could the Aministrators please clarify what has happened ??. That means to say that when I am playing, another player challenges me, and when I accept, then my previous on-going game is forfeited. It seems like the system cannot wait until I finished my on-going game, to match me with my challenger.
