Stop Pairing Me With Players With Way Different Ratings!

I'm rated 1020 and one game I got paired with a 300 player and the next a 1655 one. You can only abort two games it seems before you're locked in and have to either play or resign. There's millions of people playing so Chess.com should either make matchups better or let me abort more times.

It might be because you're playing a 20 | 0 time control. Since it's not a preset there wont be many people playing it. Instead of not giving you a game at all, sometimes it pairs you with someone a lot higher or lower.

That's my guess.

Yeah, I think you're right. I set it as 20 minutes when I joined because I was super slow. I guess it's time to speed up!

Oh, lol, 20 is a preset, my bad tongue.png

30 minutes and 15|10 are a lot more popular than it is though, so you don't necessarily have to go for a faster time control.

I suppose you have to click on "more" first so a that makes it even less likely people will do the 20min time. I didn't even know there was a 20min preset.
