All women chess players are beautiful. They have very attractive minds, at least in my opinion.
The Prettiest chess player!

On the other hand, if you define it only as people whose main occupation is playing chess competitively, then people like Anastasiya Karlovich, who play chess very well but whose jobs are oriented toward chess journalism rather than playing competitively, do not count.
She's a WGM dude...
Yes, and I'm not saying that she doesn't play chess well. But playing chess competitively isn't her main occupation, so if we were to define "chess player" in the strictest possible sense then she doesn't count. I'm just trying to raise the question of how to define "chess player" in the context of this thread, but maybe I'm just being too serious with a fun thread...

...and we wonder why more women don't play chess...
Why is it such a monumental event when a woman plays in a tournament? When you play chess, you are playing chess...if you want to date, ask her to a movie or something flat out, don't drool at her when she is just trying to play a chess game...it's so unbelievably rude, and pretty pathetic :).

I'm just amazed by the amount of beautiful, lovely women players named here, much less nominating any one of them as the prettiest! Really appreciate those posted pix. Thanx. (it's still a helluva decision though, heh)

Yelizaveta Orlova?
You won?! (Let's forget that it was on time).
P.s. pictures!
Haha. :)
Oh, forgot. Thousands of them on Facebook. :)
That (lovely) one:

Ah, if only chess women were beautiful and chess men well dressed.
Haven't seen very many (of either) at most tourneys. Our loss.
Great post above, @LouFU.

As pathetic as a white knight defending people who aren't even offended?
They are only not offended because you are talking behind their backs ;).

A lot of them do modelling. Why would they be offended with being called pretty?

There's a big difference between calling a woman pretty in her presence and posting a photo of her engaged in something that has nothing to do with being pretty/modeling for thousands to ogle at ;)...
"Hey, look at this photo of Kate Middleton bending over to take her baby out the pram..."
I'm sure she'd be flattered...
"Dear Scott,
Thanks ever so much for posting that photo on HotOrNot.com...I am just blushing to think that you find me pretty and wanted to share my ass with the world..."
Effectively the same thing, it's just a matter of degree.

I see no distasteful pictures. Most of them feature chess anyway. And seeing as that one pic from that MOVIE has her deliberately posed that way and for obvious reasons (maybe were supposed to close our eyes during that scene?) I don't see the problem.
Feel free to start a male chess player thread and ignore the distasteful stuff in there.
