The Power of the Queen

Another thing that ive learnt is that most players think of their queen as their most important piece. This - again - is a very wrong perceiption. The great Gary Kasparov can win a match without his queen you know. The power is not with the queen, its with the mind. Let me show you a match that ive experienced in which my opponent lost against me because his queen was trapped...

If this leads to many resignations, I tell you now, I could have lost that game even if his queen was lost, frankly speaking. The power of the queen is not nessecarily everything in chess... But it is a LOT. So i'm not saying losing your queen is a good thing, but even if you do lose it... try and keep up yours spirits.

Some people say one shouldn't bring out the Queen until later in the game.
