Lag correction by the server software. Avoid games with players who are clearly using poor connections to minimize this effect. Also, using bonus time will always give you a chance to move.
Time Control is not correct!

That might be because of lag. The live chess server is in California I think, so as you're in Germany, it probably takes a few seconds your move to register with the server and for the server to send your opponent's move back to you. So the server puts a few seconds back on the clocks to make up for this lost time. I've never seen lag as high as 30 seconds, but it might happen with exceptionally slow connections. Hope this helped.

well, sometimes i got disconnected in a 2 minute game, when i got back i already lost by time, so can we abort that game if connection interrupted? but i know, someone will try to cheat with that, i think we should do like if he closed the internet then he lost, if he stayed in the internet, then it count as a aborted game.
Is anyone able to explain this?
In my game vs. Drv2222 time control didn´t work correctly. It was a 5/0 game, but the opponent always got extra time. At least he would had about 3 or 4 minutes more as me. The clock for example two (or more) times got back from 4:00 to 4:30, from 3:00 to higher level and so on... .
Any explanations?
Please help!
