Time restraints

Hello, I am new (2 games) to this venue. Never played online before.

I have now "lost" both on time. One game the opponent was 1 pt ahead, the other we were tied. How do you play without time restraints?

You cannot play without a time limit on online chess. If you want more time, you can choose when setting up a game, how many days you are allowed for each move. If you accept an open seek, you need to check how many days time limit there is before accepting, especially if you don't have a lot of time.

If you're talking about LIVE chess (games that you play in one sitting), then you can also choose how long you have. In live chess, you choose for each game, rather than each move. Chess.com does not offer un-timed games in live chess or correspondence chess as of yet.

you don't. If you want to make time time irrelevent, set it for 20 mins or 15 mins with 5 secs added for each move you make, that way you'll have plenty of time to play with worrying about the clock. Don't play short games. I'm assuming your talking about live games, not turn based games.

120 mins is the max in live. But with 2 hours each, this is no different to untimed when you're playing a friendly, low rated online game.

Each player has to manage all 17 pieces: 8 pawns, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 2 rooks, queen, king, and clock. If you need more time, don't play blitz games, play long games.
