ive just played a live chess match v greyfog 15 min game. he was winning. but his time run out. then all of a sudden 2 minutes came back on his clock. i played defence so he couldnt get my king. his time run out again. then another 2 mins went back on his clock. so why did i not win on time please can someone explain.

It was 15|10, so if he made like 10 quick moves, he got nearly 2 minutes time again.

The game was 15/10, and finished after 57 moves. That means either side had 15+57*10/60=24.5 minutes for the game.
