using openings explorer in Live chess

Hi,

I just have a question about using openings explorer in Live Chess? Is that allowed on Live Chess? Now, I read in faqs that in live chess, we can't use ANY assistance from outside. Does that include the openings explorer?

And if it does, I usually use the openings explorer AFTER a game is done in live chess to analyse my moves, the window of Live chess still open off course, is that cheating? or what? it's confusing for me.. anybody can help?Frown

Any outside assistance while playing Live Chess is prohibited. That includes the Game Explorer.

You can analyze games with the Explorer after the game is over.

Of course, always keep in mind it's an honour system, there's no physical impediment to your opponent having  a battery of GM's advising him on his side of the screen and since this is the internet... let's just say you'll find good people, bound by the rules, and you'll find bad people, cheating as much as they can... But since this is online gaming, it comes with the turf.
