It probably would work for longer time controls (the webcam function would be a bit on the excessive side), but I don't see why you'd need to chat during a game. Perhaps it would help during post-mortem analysis, though.

Does anybody know if it is possible to use Skype and play live chess on Chess.com? The players could talk to each other as they play.
