What do you do when someone refuses to move?

  • #41

If im loosing i want the game over,i dont like a poor position hanging over me. its bad sport to ignore a move, be honest, if your loosing, how many options do you have to think about? no more than 5 or 6 normaly. ive had several great games with very sporting fine players on this site, i make a note of these players so i can revisit them for a game,i have encountered the above problem with some and will not be playing them again. And as i beat all these unsporting players (they slowed down to max time as you get on top) they will take a 1-0 defeat to the grave with them. these fools miss out on the 'best of 5' matches that develop from when you meet a fair, sporting player.

ITS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF OWNERS OF CHESS.COM TO FIND OUT WAYS TO BLOCK SUCH PERSONS WHO STOP MAKING MOVE FOR LONG TIME. OR ELSE THERE ARE OTHER OPEN SOURCE ONLINE CHESS GAMES SITES ALSO WHO HAVE THE FACILITY OF REPORTING SUCH PERSONS. I M NOT A PROMOTER OF ANY SITE SO I M NOT SHARING ANY NAME

Holy smokes!! it took poster #42 just over 9 years to "move" - March 16, 2009 to April 15, 2018. What do you do? If they don't move, you win on time . . .

Usually I resign and quit but this not a solution for people who don't move. Who will compensate for the loss of time loss of recreation ? why should anyone loose points if someone stops moving? How this is fair?
