Hi. Something that's getting on my nerves a bit. Played a few games lately where I was one or two moves away from mating my opponent & suddenly they are having "connection issues".
So, game gets abandoned & I win. Cool! Well.....no. Not really.
In the latest example I was playing a player with a rating of 1172 & I had a rating of 974 (I'm only learning chess). I got +13 for the game abandoned.
My question(s).....would I have got more by winning while mating?
Is this a loophole in this website that could be used by some people not to loose more rating points?
