Winning on points

I wonder if chess.com has ever considered for a player to win by points when the time difference is immaterial i.e. below 1 seconds, especially when the game is bullet and blitz? One second allowance is given because internet connection might not be smooth. What i mean by points is the total value of pieces a player still has.

Hi Fezzik, of course in the mate situation, we don't count points anymore. What I mean during bullet or blitz, many matches won on time not by mate, so those who play defensively, as long as the king is not checked mate, they can escape with winning on time. In this case, maybe the player with most points can win if the time difference is immaterial

Hah, you beat me to it Fezzik, I was thinking of posting that classic.

The point is valen2010, is what happens when a player sacrifices some pieces to make a checkmate, but because the opponent is almost out of time he claims a win on points before he's checkmated.  It's just silly.  In chess it's likely the stronger position is the one with more pieces, but many times this isn't true, so it would be a very bad rule to adopt for live chess.

Thank you friends for enlighten me. It seems there were a lot of debates in the past. I am sure Chess.com adopts the best rule. I started to enjoy playing blitz and bullet which are played strategically different than standard or on-line.
