Looking for Texas players for OTB event!

Is USCF membership required? (I'm an hour away, but have never had an OTB rating or membership.) Just curious.

Yeah, Waco's far from a lot of major cities in Texas, lol...
Man I have to drive hours to go to otb, and I live in alabama. Meaning there isn’t even a lot of otb

Yes, USCF membership is required. You can create a membership here! https://new.uschess.org/form/membership

If you are attempting to obtain additional registrations, I would highly recommend posting an online tournament life announcement on the USCF website. Currently, no such announcement has been added to the listings of upcoming tournaments. If you have any questions or would like additional suggestions, please let me know.

If you cover the costs of travel I could make the time. A plan trip to cross the Atlantic can't be that expensive .
Good luck with the tournament.

Hi! I'm holding an OTB tournament in my hometown, Waco, on Saturday, October 30th. It'll be a quad format, so four players per section sorted by rating, three rounds, G/75;d5, 1st place prize for each quad/section.
Right now, we have 12 players signed up, ranging from 700-1800 USCF. The tournament venue has room for up to 30 players.
Please send me a DM if you are in/near Texas, and interested in playing!
