I am curious as to how you could get your pawn in that position with you opponents pawns taking e4 and d5

nice puzzle -  oinquarki's logic is perfect - it is an impossible position - maybe some more black pieces should be removed from the board Wink.

 Or the c3 pawn moved back to b2.

Actually this puzzle is possible to occur in a legal (though probably not logical, game). I actually enjoyed that puzzle more than the original one :D. You probably could adjust the move order to make it appear more game like...but I was just going for the final position anyway possible.

Ah! You're right bondiggity! I didn't consider the possibility of the d pawn being able to slip in between balck's center pawns! I seem to have blundered.Embarassed

I will delete the faulty analysis I posted.

This is how the position was reached. Black played the Philidor defence with 3...f5:
