a well done mate

In response to  black's Kf2,  White will anyway lose the rook at h1.

But if white plays Kc3 thereby opening the lateral line for the rook at a1, the mate will be avoided. The Black bishop's attack on the knight will be defended by the pawn at b2.

So, this is not a good solution.

2. Nc3 is much better for White.

LOL!.. I went for Bc5 .. then if 2.g3 BxNd4+ 3.Kg2 Rf2+ but after 4. Kh3 or 4.Kg1 it becomes unclear .. and as sriramo7o7 pointed out, the solution given is ill-conceived .. so this mate is not so well done..
