Only one piece can do that , the knight.

V1500Cygni

Rook: 0-0-0 or 0-0

Yep, that’s correct! The Rook and Knight can both jump! The Rook can castle, jumping over the King!

@Mid-KnightRider guessed the King, and I didn’t think about the King that much. After analyzing the animation, You could say that the King and Rook both jump over each other, so I would give them a bonus point for giving an answer that I did not consider. However, in OTB games, the King moves to his position FIRST and only the Rook jumps over the King. It’s a matter of which version of chess you are playing, so I will count the King as half a point. Still, I can see an argument for how the King can also jump, and I actually didn’t consider it. So by technicality, @Mid-KnightRider has found 2.5 pieces.

SacrifycedStoat
If you have a chess set with big pieces, bishops have to jump to go in between two pieces on squares that meet at a corner
SacrifycedStoat
Big meaning their diameter is at least one third of the square root of 2 times the squares’ side lengths
SacrifycedStoat
Since all pieces other than knight and rook can move diagonally, technically any piece can jump with the right chess set
