Here's another puzzle.
Black to move and mate in 4.
I don't think the last two puzzles work. Post 259 has several moves where black can deviate, first on move 1 by ...Bf6. I haven't analysed them deeply, so you might still have the mate in 11.
However, I know that post 260 isn't mate in four like you've set up, because if white plays c3, c4, Rd2, or Kd2 on move 4, black doesn't have mate in 1.
Here's another puzzle.
White to move and mate in 3.
That's not a mate in three. For instance, black plays 1...Rc1+ and it isn't mate in three
Here's another puzzle.
White to move and mate in 3.
thats what i get, its mate in 1. Nd6
it's not mate in 1. Nd6
thats what i get, its mate in 1. Nd6
it's not mate in 1. Nd6
sry :p it's mate

Okay, here's a puzzle I came up with. Not sure if it is a hard one or not. Take a look.
White to move and mate in 4.
Once again, theweaponking, it isn't a mate in four because black can delay, most noticeably by sacrificing his rooks to check the white king on the first couple of moves.
WanderingWinder, it would seem foolish to just throw away your rooks. It seems like a blunder to me. Why would I purposely put blunder moves into a puzzle? It may delay it but the checkmate is unstoppable.
ok had a nice endgame for a puzzle, ok well maybe it isnt that complex from this point, i'm not sure.
theweaponking: It owuld seem foolish you would think, but then you're getting mated either way so it doesn't matter really. As a practical choice, it wouldn't be the best move, BUT as a puzzle you can't call it mate in four unless the mate is forced in EVERY variation. It still works as a puzzle (although not the kind of puzzle I like, because any halfway reasonable move wins), just not a mate in four. It's white to play and win the fastest.
PeterArt: you really need to start your puzzle from the starting point of the puzzle, not the beginning of the game. I can't even tell from this point where the puzzle aspect is supposed to begin.
Here's another puzzle.
White to move and mate in 11.
Not sure if this would be a logical sequence of moves, so please tell me if I went wrong somewhere.
