Thx! Mat-Pat is appropriate as these are the states between which the variations alternate!
I hope I found a cure now (I'm probably not he first one to try; most problems have been scrutinized with engines) but it is not that elegant. Perhaps you can run an analysis on it. This composition is definitely worth restoring!

This position actually came up in one of my games. I missed it while I was playing, but during analysis afterwards found this cool line.
This is the line the computer plays. There are other lines that don't lead into mates, but white is completely winning after all of them. It's the first few moves that are the most important.
