For me this works fine, and is a clear improvement. I like that the puzzle rating is more similar to rapid / blitz. The puzzles I get is of quite similar difficulty, I actually think that the difficulty could vary a bit more, that makes it more unpredictable, like a real game. The new system is a lot like how the lichess puzzle ratings works.
Does anyone see a reason to continue with puzzles after the new changes?

There's a bug with those that are using regular rated puzzles and not the Collect Puzzle Points feature, where the post puzzle rating is the old one. Staff are aware and it should be fixed soon.
Regarding the puzzle selection algorithm, it's the same as its been for the past few months. What kind of ranges you get depend on the difficulty setting. I've found Extra Hard to be a good mix and most similar to what was available before difficulty settings were added

I'm curious what you mean by the puzzle rating being more similar? Do you mean the user's puzzle rating is more similar to their own rapid rating? Or just that the rating of the puzzles more closely matches the user's own rating (ex. a 1900 puzzle rated player would find a 1900 rated puzzle to be right at their level.)? I saw this same claim in the chess.com announcement of the change, but it has left me quite confused because my puzzle rating went from a stable 2600 to a stable low-2000s, but my rapid rating is ~1250 (and I've plateaued at that level) so no way is the new puzzle rating matching my games rating. But that said, it is technically closer I guess, and I have found that puzzles with a new-style rating of 1950s do seem to be challenging for me, so that matches my puzzle level.

Puzzle ratings are meant to be more in line with game ratings but it's designed that they'll still be higher.
The above video has a part that explains it pretty well. Basically, if you had someone watching your games telling you when a tactic exists on the board, your rating would be higher by some amount.
Thanks for the all the feedback, I'll switch over to the puzzle points mode and see if things feel better that way. I had turned that off when it first came out because I disliked it but it sounds like that's the more updated mode now.
Overall I guess this is just a rant. Basically I'm about to close my account because all these changes to the puzzle system that was working perfectly fine for me have ruined my experience. Now puzzles are showing a different rating in the actual puzzle board screen (the old rating) but when I go look at my stats page, I see a totally different new rating assigned to that puzzle. So it is completely impossible to judge whether a puzzle is simple or difficult.
This is important for me using puzzles as a learning tool because I need to have an understanding of where my strengths and weaknesses are (like catching simple moves vs. needing to do long calculations better) and now all the data appears completely scrambled and I don't trust anything.
Besides this, the puzzles I'm being given simply bounce between "super easy" and "super hard". Nothing feels at my level anymore. "Hard" mode simply seems to boil down to "we'll give you 2 really difficult ones and one really easy one each day."
I know others are feeling the same based on other posts I've seen, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to live with the new system, or I am right to just give up on chess.com? I have plenty of other chess sites I use, and I was only coming here for additional puzzles and fast matchmaking but it doesn't feel worth it anymore.
