Hmmm... I see the moves revealed when you hit "solution," and I was going in that same direction, but in the meantime, don't you think the black queen would have chased down the white king first?

I'm a rank beginner, so take anything I say with a deep eye roll...

No black queen of mine would have just stood there, done nowt, while her kings out deh, running for cover all over shop. Says me, an absolute beginner 😁

LOL! I often place my black queen on a random square and WHAM she gets whacked. I gotta work on that!

Good beginner-level puzzles.

ChessProKing, I feel like the first puzzle you put up is sort of underrated because it's in the same position at the end of a kingside pawnstorm and in my opinion a better move would be Bf5 or another move that further weakened or threatened the opponent's pawn defense. Very good idea/plot, though.
