why where the heck is the king!

Avatar of VetrivelChess

The Answer is pawn takes e5 with en passant.      If you do queen to f6, the king can take the knight.

OMG, this is the en passant Mate-in-One thread that refuses to die. Someone call Rick Grimes please.

Rick Grimes is the main character of The Walking Dead.

It was a way of saying this thread keeps coming back from the dead.

Mate in four

Avatar of Thee_Ghostess_Lola

ur setup is right in #54. TY eric happy.png . but no its not checkmate in four. Its still checkmate in 1. and ill give u the ans so u can have breakfast.

1. pb8 (black Kn) #

remember ?...i said 1862. thats cuz u could promote to any piece (except a pawn) of either color up til then. William Steinitz fought very hard against this rule change but lost his bid. so now of course u hafta promote to Q, R, Kn, or B that is ur color only. sad.
