I guess the algorithm ignores the players involved, makes it easier to produce lots of puzzles.

In my latest puzzle rush I encountered this puzzle.
Because I missed the puzzle I went into the analysis afterwards and I noticed that it was taken from a Blitz game played in 2014. I was curious who these players were that they were featured in a puzzle rush. That's when I noticed neither had an active account anymore, haven't for years. Both of them had their account closed for fair play less than two weeks after playing the game where this puzzle is taken from.
It made wonder. Are puzzles handpicked by experts back when these players were still in good standing? Or are puzzles found by an algorithm with no regards to the players involved?
Completely unrelated, with the help of chessvision.ai I discovered that the same puzzle was also feature in a ChessDojo video (around 18:10)
