Have you solved it or you had to ask the help button?

Sherlock__Holmes

After 2 or 3 attempts solved without help.

What's the mating move after 1. ...Kxe4?  I can't see one.

Yeah, once you figure out the first move, the next is a piece of cake! ;-)

Did you like my puzzle?. Have you find out the first move?

xavgb

After Re3+, all the blocking moves result in Bf4#, and Kd6 is met by Qe7#.

PhemieMichael

Kxe4, Re3 is not a mate in two...or three combo. King will move to d6

PhemieMichael

First move is Be4... Response from black will determine white's mating move

Top notch composition!

Also illustrates a typical composer dilemma, do I want Bb8 in or out of the diagram? The content of the problem is almost the same - only the variation 1... Bd6 2.Qf5# is added - is that worth the extra piece in the lineup? Personally I would have gone for lean and mean on the ground that the mate 2.Qf5# already appears after 1... Rd6, but that is a choice of taste rather than skill.

Solved in under a minute!

Even better was a puzzle by John Brown in the Illustrated London News in 1863. The only difference between the two puzzles is the date of publication.

@xavgb At first i thought about that too. but if black uses the bishop to block, its a check to our king

Wind

wow!

that was tough. I couldn't find it out in a rush.

If you like insane problems, become a member of your countries chess problem society (most countries have one). They deliver nothing but insane problems!
