No, what I don't get is the Ke3 in the solution.. because what nothing forces the black king to move, so f3 is possible, or Ne3 and there, where's the mate in 3 ?
I agree with panda.
Macina's second solution is the best, though it's still not a forced mate, you just expect Black to play the fork.
