Here is an actual game where white demolished black for attempting to copy his moves.
This is probably more likely to occur in a chess game, I would have thought.

It's a variation with 3. Qh3.

I would say its as likely to occur as any other possible game, which is about 1 in 10^50 or something, but if it happened once it may happen again, since a few beginners would assume you can't go wrong as black if you just copy white's moves and so they won't analyse what they play as much. Just like NN here.
In the English openig ultra-symmetric variation ive won blitz games - both as black and as white!) at fics and icc [when icc allowed free trial membership] but even one standard game (15 0 - that is is hardly standard but it counts as standard) at fics - against somewhat weaker platers but not beginners, because opps playing black didnt know when it was time to break symmetry, and opps playing white got frustated and made a desperate and very weak move to foce me to break symmetry]

So, what realy happen if black, from the begining, simpllly reproduce white moves? He/she will be mated in 4 moves! I expected to see this solution under the name advantage of moving first - mate in 4 in symmetrical position here. So, a give it as a puzle.
