Mate in 8 moves. can you find a faster way to victory ?

What about Nd4? If Bxd4 then Qa1#, and if White's Queen moves then Qa1# again (unless he makes silly, desperate checks, like Qxh7+, Qb3+, or Qc4+; then just taking the Queen should suffice). If he plays Kg1 then we just take the Queen, though I'm not sure if there's a mate in that line...I sense one coming, though. If I am missing something, please inform me.
Note that your mate in 8 is also winning from what I can see; I like it.

i really like Nd4 cool response let me check. .... yes i think Nd4 is also mate just in 9 more moves but the best part is the opponent looses queen immediately, thats kind of cool. thanks for the cool answer.

but wait a minute if ND4... Qc4+Kh1 ; Qxd4 .... then the position is not that strong ; even if Qe4+ Ke6 reduces the chances of mate.

BLACK TO MOVE!
1...RxB & the Black Rook can't be taken by White pawn.
1...RxB 2.RxN or QxN 3.Qh1++ Checkmate.
1...RxB 2.Qc8+ Kf7 3.Qc7+ Kg6 4.Qc2+ Kh6 wins for Black.
I don't think the mating process van be speeded up though there are several ways to mate in 8. Then again, the whole position and the solutions are rather boring. Do you wish to replace a 'boring mate in 8' with a 'boring mate in 7'?

It doesn' t matter to me if it's boring or not.
It seems to bother you. Could you come up with a better puzzle?

about a billion - and I have done so if you look around (n9531l says zillion is an exaggeration).
By the way, my prev post was intended for the OP and not for you in case you took it personal.
@DarkKnight1980: A puzzle is not a random challenge, it is a creation. If the OP had found an interesting and unique way towards a faster mate and then gave it to us to find. That would be a puzzle!
I didn' t know that. I will have a look around.
Which of your puzzles would you recommend?
I don't keep track of my puzzles and I don't know how to find my posts on chess.com except as an OP. But here are some recent ones I found mostly as comments to another OP:
Puzzles forum: "Mate in 3" (33 hours ago), "Just a nice mate in nine moves" (4 days ago), Mate in two #6 (9 days ago)
Endgame study forum: "Endgame Study" (3 weeks ago), "Inspired by the Daily Puzzle" (3 weeks ago).
I regularly post critical comments to (IMO) "sloppy" puzzles. If possible I try to back that up with suggestions for improvements or improved puzzles. They are not all high-flyers but they don't intend te be.
