ADK's three-mover is the fastest solution. If there were a rook on f8 instead of a knight, the three-move mate would still work the same way.

It should work, you may get an OBVIOUS move wrong, but it shouldnt effect the scheme of the pattern. Try to find this pattern on the internet, its helpful to know you can win a few games like this.
