Good tip, Anna. I would also add to look for a Mate when the enemy King's own pieces are blocking its possible escape routes.

This Mate in 3 has 2 solutions based on which Black Rook takes the White Bishop. Don't use the same piece twice for both solutions.

Solution 1: if ...Rfxf2

Solution 2: if ...Rcxf2
