I didn't say that only white had to have queens on the board, and the answer is higher than 24. Also, please post a diagram, so I can see it. (Visual Learning here.)
The answer had better be less than 24 if the position is legal.

A puzzle to take your mind off of my astoundingly easy earlier challenge? Here's one anyway.
It is theoretical, not legal.
There is no theory without the rules.
I mean with the assumption that you could have as many queens as you wanted.
don't see the point behind that... It isn't check and WHite/Black can play many moves. If the point is that king has to have a aquare then it is 60 queens
Heh. To be unique, here's a riddle:
"It has been played with for centuries,
Moving one step at a time
Between darkness and light,
And when it is captured
It is all over."
Due to the very nature of this forum, I doubt any of you will be stumped. But it is a very nice riddle to tell to your friends. Any other chess riddles from anyone? (It counts as a chess puzzle!)
there seems to be a major mistake in that riddle. It will never be captured but if you tell checkmated then everybody knows the solution so i quess that it is fine :)
