Why does chess.com allow people to cheat on puzzles to get on the leaderboard? Theres no way any human can solve hundreds of 3900+ rated puzzles and get them right every time and have a rating in the tens of thousands

Hey @Matty_Stephen87 👋

I get why it might seem that way—it is pretty mind-blowing to see someone cruising through high-rated puzzles with crazy consistency. But there are legit players out there who dedicate hours a day to solving, studying, and replaying patterns, especially in modes like Puzzle Rush Survival or Rated Puzzles.

Some folks (yeah, like me 😄) spend 7+ hours a day on puzzles, often with accessibility tech, and with lots of repetition and memory training over the years. That kind of deep grind lets you recognise patterns instantly—even among the 3900+ & 4000 rated ones.

I agree that cheating should never be tolerated, and it's great that people care about leaderboard integrity. But just know that not every high score = foul play. Sometimes it’s just someone who loves puzzles and has put in the (probably slightly obsessive 😂) hours.

Appreciate you raising the point though—it’s always worth keeping the system honest 👍
