Puzzle Rush notes + Puzzle Bank Game Mode Proposition

I tend to do survival mode puzzle rush daily, but it's been getting a bit stale after a few thousand times... So here are some of my Puzzle Rush suggestions and ideas for some possible new puzzle game modes. I'm open to any and all comments/opinions or possible variations so feel free to express them. I am really curious to know what the community thinks about what I came up with.1. In Reference to Original Puzzle Rush/Regular Puzzles

  • I was wondering if people would be in interested in implementing a 10-15min mode
  • Perhaps a bot/trainer within the Puzzle Rush mode that could give you hints with what the solution entails. I know this exists in regular puzzles, so I hope it wouldn't be difficult to possibly grandfather this feature over to puzzle rush.
  • It'd be nice to see the level of the puzzle in Puzzle Rush as well before completing it, rather than after.
  • Possibly even a full practice trainer mode (in either mode) that has varying star levels for hint variation (goal/piece/move); (it's a bit annoying when I fat finger tap the hint an extra time by accident and see the move when I originally just wanted help with the what piece in question to focus on).

2. "Hint-Bank" Survival Mode/ "Puzzle Bank"

A completely new variation of puzzle survival mode where you start with a max cap of 3 total hints stored in your "hint bank". Only 1 hint is usable per puzzle but for every 5-10 puzzles you complete without utilizing any hints from your bank, you'd gain a hint back into your "hint-bank".

These "hint-redemptions" could either be awarded:

1. sequentially at solved milestones, such as on puzzle 10,20,30,40,50,55,60,65... or 5/10/15/20/25/30/40/50... or 5/15/20/25/35/45/55/60... unsure which sample variation would be most optimal dependent on the difficulty curve

-OR-

2. When you solve 5-10 puzzles in a row, this would be either be linear (always 5/10) or progressively longer streaks are required as the game goes on.

-OR-

3. It's possible both variations could be implemented such as "Bank Milestones" and "Bank Streaks"

3. "Bank Battle"

  • Instead of hints, you'd start with 5 lives (also the max storage cap). You'd still lose 1 life for getting a puzzle wrong, so nothing different there but if you have the ability to streak (3-5) puzzles in a row ahead of your opponent, they'd lose 1/2 a life.
  • Don't be too discouraged because as a comeback mechanism, certain puzzle milestones 5/10/15/20 etc. give the player back 1/2 a life to still have a fighting chance if they fall behind at the start.
  • The best part is that this mode can have unlimited time as if your opponent takes to long or becomes inactive, all you'd have to do it continue streaking to take them out. So not only accuracy but speed is paramount in this challenge.

Anyways, just my thoughts on the topic. I have fairly difficult anxiety, so puzzles provide a ton of relief for me and are less stressful than playing full matches. As I mentioned in the beginning, I am really curious what anybody thinks about these ideas and I'm open to discuss all other opinions and variations for those who enjoy puzzles as much as I do. If the majority of the community like's my idea or we come up with even more or better variations it'd be amazing to see chess.com pick this up and make it a reality. Cheers! tactics
