Puzzle #1 is not good for the puzzle interface because there are multiple routes from h8 to c5 that are equally fast. Solver will get marked 'wrong' for trying 8.Ng6-f4-e6xc5.

In Puzzle #2, the move 2...b1N is not the point of the puzzle. 2...b1N just leaves black a whole Rook down.

That is true of course but it's not a total waste. The moves up to 7. h8=N are correct and unambiguous. The moves thereafter belong in an analysis line as example for the remainder.
And, btw, the puzzles are for diverse skill levels but only the last one would require the genius gene - if not everyone knew it already

Find this amazing 9 move sacrificial sequence leading to victory !
This one is pretty good, but I came up with a different solution (mate in 9):

Bxg7+?? Kxg5 and the king escapes due to two hanging bishops .
Nxa7 Bxg7+?? Kxg5 Bf6+ Qxf6 Rxf6 Kxf6 and white is only up a rook and the king has escaped.
Ne7 Bxg7+?? Kxg5 h4+?? Kxf5 and black escapes.
Terrible combinations , the king escapes and it is not forcing enough !

I appended the diagram to address the variations you proposed, and it's definately a mate in 9 (or less)
